As we couldn’t hug each other in person, Fandango Club brought together some of the leading illustrators, cartoonists, designers, graphic artists and visual creators for a project dedicated to interpreting the theme of the embrace. This gave rise to “AbbracciaMi”: a free, charitable initiative which – since Friday 8 May 2020, World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day – aimed to help people feel closer to one another, whilst also celebrating Milan’s collective effort. The specially commissioned graphic designs were available on the website to be sent, free of charge, to those we care about. The original physical artworks were then exhibited and sold at an exhibition hosted during the following edition of ‘Milan Games Week – Cartoomics’: all proceeds were donated to the Milan Red Cross, which was on the front line in the fight against Covid-19.
